Cambodia Presbyterian Church
Westminster Theological College and Seminary Cambodia (WTCS) has a very high view of and commitment to the church. The mission of WTCS is to teach and train those whom God has called to be pastors and church leaders, and WTCS is committed to equipping these pastors and church leaders with biblical, theological, and ministerial disciplines specifically in Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.
However, WTCS welcomes all students who want to study the Bible and are eager to pursue theological training regardless of their denomination or background. The WTCS teaching faculty, who have been ordained as teaching elders of Reformed and Presbyterian denominations, also acknowledge the urgent calling and special responsibility for training and equipping pastors and leaders so that they can serve Reformed and Presbyterian churches in Cambodia, in the future.
Cambodia Presbyterian Church (CPC) was organized in June, 2015 with a sole presbytery, having three initiating members (Rev. David Yuhan, Rev. Sang Yong Park, and Rev. Peter Kong), to represent Westminster Presbyterian Church plus seven other churches. The purpose of organizing CPC was for the new generation of pastors to be examined and ordained following the biblical and reformed tradition, and also for the seminarians of WTCS to be trained and equipped through field education and ministry experience in biblical and reformed tradition. CPC ordained two pastors (Rev. Pheak Ny and Rev. Atoka Swu) on February 16, 2016, and another (Rev. Sarath Sous) on March 20, 2017. Any church which is firmly based on biblical principle and on reformed theology is welcome to join CPC (contact: 017-450-042).
